Table Games

Similar to slots, table and card games have amazing stories behind them. Coming from various cultures and societies, they are even innovated and improved based on the new people that have taken them.

For example, the first cards of ancient civilizations have been found in old Asian, Arabian and European societies. The games that you might like right now may be rooted in centuries and millennium-old games.

Tiles from Ancient China showed similarity to present-day cards where symbols and figures were etched into the wood. The faces of cards and their symbols were rooted from when the French used hearts, spades, diamonds and clubs. The trend of using the images of queens and emperors were also done during another period.

Although there were some issues and a negative look towards gambling, it cannot be denied that the activity has been alive as long as humans have lived. Thus, it will also continue to flourish with mankind and our society.

Baccarat

Baccarat comes from the word ‘baccara’ which is Italian for zero. This is because face cards are counted with zero values. Baccarat is a favourite game in both online and land casinos.

This is a game unlike poker and other games where you have to handle the cards yourself. In casinos, the game of baccarat is played by two sides of a Player and the Banker.

This is how the game of baccarat happens. Random cards are dealt to both sides. The goal of each is to land exactly at or nearest to 9. As they compete, you get to choose which side will win the game.

  • Face Cards (Jacks, Queens and Kings) – 0
  • Numbered Cards – 2 to 9
  • Ace – 1

In other games, both sides have the option to get another card (hit) or keep the cards as is (stand). When the value goes over 9, the end digit is counted instead. For example, a 9 card plus 7 card equals 16 or 6 points.

Aside from the two sides, you can actually wager that the game would end in a draw. However, this event would be super rare but it would also be worth more money.

Since the baccarat wagers are to the banker and player or draw. The odds are at (1:0.95) Player, (1:0.95) Banker and Draw (1:8). The odds would mean that the casino always gets a house edge whenever the Banker wins.

No Commission Baccarat

Since the Banker has slightly more probability of happening in usual games, players often punt for the banker. However, in No Commission Baccarat, the house edge is removed. This means that there are equal odds and money payouts.

There are also additional wagers that you can place to win more money! For example, you can wager that the Banker would win on an 8. This wager has odds of 1:2.

Blackjack

Just like Baccarat, blackjack is a card game that requires a certain amount of points through the cards. However, there is a different pointing system and set of rules. In an actual game, players also handle their cards on their own.

The goal is to reach closest to or exactly 21. Scoring 21 will grant you an automatic win or a blackjack. On the other hand, players cannot go over 21 or they lose. Aces are a good card to get since they can cost 11 or 1, depending on which one you will need.

  • Face Cards (Jacks, Queens and Kings) – 10
  • Numbered Cards – 2 to 9
  • Ace – 1 or 11

The game gives you similar actions to hit or stand. It also lets you see one of the bank’s cards which makes it easier for you to decide whether to take a hit or not.

Poker

The goal in a classic match of poker is to create the highest-ranking card on the table. The match undergoes the process of the Blind, Flop, Turn, River and Showdown. During the Blind, players are given their hole cards. On the rest of it, new cards are put in the middle of the table (community cards).

Players can use the community cards together with their hole cards to create the best card that they can. During the entire process, players can double their bets, fold and more.

In real life, the best part of playing poker is you can also win without the highest card on the table. Players can also bluff their way to the winning pot if they manage to make their enemies fold.

The hierarchy of cards is below assorted from the lowest to the best.

  1. High Card: If you can’t make a set of cards, you can also choose the card with the highest position in your cards. The highest position is the Ace followed by the King, Queen and so on.
  2. Pair: Refers to two cards with the same rank (Pair of Queens, etc). When the opponent also has a pair, the highest rank will win. For example, a pair of Aces will win against a pair of Kings.
  3. Two Pair: Created with two pairs of cards of the same rank.
  4. Three of a Kind: Created when you have three cards with the same position such as three aces.
  5. Straight: Formed with 5 consecutive cards. The suits are disregarded.
  6. Flush: Created when cards are not in consecutive pattern but are all the same suits. For example, a punter has five cards which are all hearts.
  7. Full House: A full house is when the player can form a pair and a trio in his cards. For example is having three Aces and a pair of Kings.
  8. Four of A Kind: As the name implies, complete four cards of the same rank for this rank.
  9. Straight Flush: This is a combination of straight and a flush. A player should have five consecutive cards with the same suit.
  10. Royal Flush: As another form of a straight flush, this set of cards is created when you have five consecutive cards of the highest ranks and in the same suit. Your set must have the Ace, King, Queen, Jack and the number 10.

Because of Poker’s fame in the field. There are a number of variants of poker in online and land casinos. You can also try them at Luckyslots!

Omaha Poker

Omaha Poker is pretty similar to the classic game. The only difference is that four cards are dealt to the player during an Omaha game. Because there are more hole cards, players are required to use two of them with three shared cards.

This is a fun innovation because you can’t create the best cards from what you hold. On the contrary, if your hole cards get too good, you wouldn’t be able to pull off more cards from your hole cards.

Hold’em Poker

After the hole cards are given, the player can choose whether to call or fold. You can do this, unlike the earlier version where the flop cards have to be shown first. The game then continues as it normally does.

The dealer will be dealing the flop cards to the community board. There will be another round of betting. The same thing will happen until the turn and river are dealt to the table.

Be sure to call when you can make a winning hand. Also, know when to fold if your cards are at a disadvantage to minimize your losses.

If you have the winning hand after the showdown, the payout odds will be 1:1. If you get a straight flush or better, you will win the ante bets.

Caribbean Stud

This is a poker game against the bank. The game uses the same concept but in an entirely different manner.

The player and the dealer are given five holes cards. To give you a glimpse of what the other side can have, one card is shown to you. Based on this, you can fold or call.

If you continue, the game will automatically or allow you to pick the best cards from your own hole cards. Have a better set than the dealer, you win!

Aside from these, there are also poker variants reserved for high-rollers and the like. For more poker games, you can also check its game category.

Sic Bo

Sic bo is a game that originated from the Orient. However, it has also become popular across America and Europe. If you’ve seen a roulette table and the various options you can wager on, wait till you see the options for Sic bo!

With three dice rolled on the screen, you can wager on what the results would be! Don’t worry as you don’t have to wager on the specific outcome. However, as you try riskier bets, you can earn more money.

Here are some wagers on the Sic bo betting table.

  • Specific Wagers
Punters can wager on a number for either dice to land on.
  • Combination Bet
Players can choose a combination of two numbers that the dice can land on.
  • Small Bets (4, 6, 8, 9, 10)
Refers to when punters bet on numbers which totals to 4 to 10. They have the smallest payouts but are more likely to occur.
  • Big Bet (11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17)
Predict that the sum reaches 11 to 17. The bet does not include 18 as all group bets lose with a triple result.

Red Dog

As a unique game to digital table games, this game will truly test your Lady Luck. It uses the same concept of poker in terms of how it ranks its cards and disregards the suits.

For a game of chance, this game can charge you about $1 to over $200. Your wager can easily be turned into nothing or to heaps of cash. After betting, the dealer will deal two cards. Here’s what can happen next.

  • If the dealer gets consecutive cards, the wager is returned (push).
  • If the cards are both the same, you’ll get another card. If it turns up to be the same card, you win with odds of 11:1. If it’s not, the wager is returned.
  • If either does not occur, the dealer can also have a spread for the cards between the two cards dealt. If the card lands within the spread, you can win.
